NTB to Make "Let's Visit Pokhara" Campaign Successful
Kathmandu, July 9: A campaign "Let's visit Pokhara" launched by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) to increase the number of Indian tourists in Pokhara is going to be run at bordering towns of Nepal and India.
According to Communication officer at the NTB, Sarad Pradhan, the NTB has run the campaign at different bordering markets of India including Gorakhpur and Lucknow to publicize tourism potential and natural beauty of Pokhara.
The campaign was run in Gorakhpur and Lucknow from July 5 to July 8 in the first phase and the campaign is also going to be run at different cities of India. NTB and Western Regional Hotel Association have jointly launched the campaign. Different 12 organizations had participated in the campaign.
The campaign has been run with the purpose of promoting tourism sector by bringing Indian tourists in Pokhara. The NTB said that the campaign would be forwarded continuously as it not only helps develop and expand tourism sector but also strengthens relations between Nepal and India.
There is a plan to give more than 10 per cent discounts to a tourist who joins the campaign and has forwarded a plan to provide more than 30 per cent discount to the tourists going for trekking, according to the Western Regional Hotel Association.
It is said that the campaign will be run at various places including Kakadvitta, Rani of Biratnagar, Beliya, Nepalgunj, Bhittamod, among others, after a few days.
