Negotiation Team Formed To Pressurize On Climate Change

Kathmandu, Aug. 24: The Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology has formed a 17-member talks team to make Nepal's presence result-oriented in the conferences under United Nations Convention on Climate Change and Kyoto Protocol.
The Chief of Climate Change Management Division at the Ministry has been named the head of the negotiation team, which is formed for two years, stated a press release issued by the Ministry here on Friday.
Other members in the team are representatives from different Ministries including Finance, Foreign Affairs, Agriculture and Energy.
Capacity and role of negotiation team will be enhanced through orientation and training as per the need, states the release.
The Ministry has expected to address the issues and priorities of climate change by raising voice in the international negotiations and conferences, it is stated in the release.
