NC President Shows Dissatisfaction On CA Term Extention
Kathmandu May 22; Sushil Koirala, Nepali Congress President condemns the cabinet's decision of registering a bill in the Legislature-Parliament secretariat for the 13th amendment of the Interim Constitution-2063 in order to extend the term of the Constituent Assembly by three months.
In the press conference at his residence Koirala shows his dissatisfaction towards the government's decision.
Earlier today, NC and CPN-UML had agreed to amend the Interim Constitution 2007, to extend the CA term by three months, with ‘reservations’.
Claiming that there is no alternative to timely constitution, Koirala said that the CA term cannot be extended under any circumstances.
