Dahal And Koirala Hold Talks
Kathmandu, June 16: Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala and UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal held talks this morning on the latest political situation of the country.
The meeting of the two leaders was the first discussion on political crisis of the country held after the dissolution of the Constituent Assembly (CA).
The talks were held at Koirala residence at Maharajgunj and both stressed that there was no alternative to consensus and should move ahead with consensus for an political outlet.
Talking to journalists after the talks, UCPN-Maoist Chairman Dahal said consensus should be forged on whatever it is, the constitution drafting or the formation of government and as there has been consensus in many issues, the rest should also be agreed.
He also said his party will held internal discussion and informed that today's talks were held in harmonious atmosphere.
Likewise, President Koirala said the political crisis of the present was because of the failure to implement the five-point consensus in the past and its implementation will pave away for resolving present political crisis.
NC always stressed on unity, reconciliation and agreement, he said and blamed that crisis emerged as the UCPN-Maoist was responsible for non-implementation of the five-point agreement.
