Baidya Calls On Present Yadav

Kathmandu, June 24: Mohan Baidya, Chairman of the CPN-Maoist, the recently formed new party after splitting from UCPN-Maoist, called on President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav, today.
During the meeting held at the Sheetal Niwas, today, the duo held talks on contemporary political issues.
The new Maoists have been demanding round-table conference and formation of an Interim government for giving an outlet to the current crisis, Baidya said that they also put the same thing with the President in the meeting.
The cadres' gathering of CPN-Maoist led by Baidya faction held some days ago had decided to form an Interim joint government by removing Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai from office.
Present on the occasion were party's General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa, standing committee member Netra Bikram Chand, among others.
