Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of gambling with the lives of American citizens and his country’s resources in a desperate attempt to save his premiership.
In a post on X, Araghchi labelled Netanyahu a war criminal, alleging his hands are stained with the blood of Arab, American, and Iranian citizens. He claimed Netanyahu is disregarding his own people and is willing to spend more American blood and treasure to cling to power.
“Like a gambler who has lost his conscience, he is desperately trying to save himself by spending more American blood and wealth. Even American senators want to get out of this war,” Araghchi wrote.
Upcoming Israeli Elections
The accusations come as Israel is gearing up for parliamentary elections on October 27. The upcoming vote in the Knesset is expected to be highly competitive, with political parties needing to submit their final candidate lists by September 7.
