A 30-year-old motorcyclist died in Sarlahi district after his motorcycle was struck by a van. The accident occurred on the Nawalpur-Malangwa road section in Haripur Municipality-8, Jagatpur, on Saturday morning.

The victim has been identified as Arvind Sah, a 30-year-old resident of Ganeshpur in Malangawa Municipality-7. The collision occurred around 8:15 AM when a van, with registration number Na 1 Ja 6308, travelling from Nawalpur towards Malangwa, collided with Sah’s motorcycle, bearing registration number Madhesh Province 02-010 Pa 2221, which was coming from the opposite direction.

Sah sustained severe injuries in the impact and was rushed to the Provincial Hospital in Malangwa for treatment. Doctors pronounced him dead during the course of treatment.

Driver in Custody, Investigation Underway

The driver of the van, identified as 33-year-old Najamudin Baitha, who had been out of contact following the accident, has come forward and is in police custody. Police have seized both vehicles involved in the collision and are conducting further investigations into the incident.
