Scrub typhus infects over 9,000 in Nepal, 8 dead in Salyan
Nepal is grappling with a widespread scrub typhus outbreak, with over 9,000 infections reported across 74 districts since January 2026. Eight deaths have been confirmed in Salyan's Darma Rural Municipality.
