The Prithvi Highway has been fully obstructed by a dry landslide that occurred on Sunday morning around 10:15 AM in Ghoptebhir, Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-4, Chitwan.
According to Rameshwor Paudel, chief and superintendent of police at the District Police Office, Chitwan, efforts are underway to clear the highway. An excavator has been deployed to remove the debris, and authorities expect the highway to reopen for two-way traffic within approximately half an hour.
The obstruction has halted vehicle movement in both directions, impacting travelers heading home for the Tihar festival.
There have been no confirmed reports of human casualties or physical damage due to the landslide. The exact time for the full resumption of highway operations has not yet been specified.
