Nepal Rastra Bank, the central bank, has set new foreign exchange rates for Sunday, October 4, 2026, with the US dollar’s selling rate fixed at Rs 154.41.

According to the rates determined by the central bank for today, the buying rate for one US dollar is Rs 153.81, while the selling rate is Rs 154.41. Similarly, the European Euro’s buying rate is Rs 173.01 and its selling rate is Rs 173.69.

  • The buying rate for one UK Pound Sterling is Rs 203.18, and the selling rate is Rs 203.98.
  • One Swiss Franc can be bought at Rs 185.69 and sold at Rs 186.42.
  • The Australian dollar’s buying rate is Rs 106.72 and its selling rate is Rs 107.14.
  • For the Canadian dollar, the buying rate is Rs 108.04 and the selling rate is Rs 108.46.
  • Ten Japanese Yen have a buying rate of Rs 9.76 and a selling rate of Rs 9.80.
  • One Chinese Yuan is set at a buying rate of Rs 22.94 and a selling rate of Rs 23.03.
  • The Saudi Arabian Riyal’s buying rate is Rs 40.97 and its selling rate is Rs 41.13.
  • One Qatari Riyal has a buying rate of Rs 42.20 and its selling rate is Rs 42.36.
  • The Thai Baht’s buying rate is Rs 4.58 and its selling rate is Rs 4.60.
  • One UAE Dirham has a buying rate of Rs 41.88 and its selling rate is Rs 42.04.
  • The Malaysian Ringgit’s buying rate is Rs 37.66 and its selling rate is Rs 37.80.
  • One hundred South Korean Won have a buying rate of Rs 11.40 and a selling rate of Rs 11.45.
  • For 100 Indian Rupees, the buying rate is Rs 160.00 and the selling rate is Rs 160.15.

Nepal’s exchange rate system explained

Nepal operates under a ‘Conventional Peg’ exchange rate system, where the Nepalese currency’s exchange rate is fixed against the Indian currency. Nepal Rastra Bank is responsible for determining foreign exchange rates and supervising foreign exchange transactions in the country.
